Basking Ridge, NJ

Basking Ridge is located in north-central New Jersey and is a commuter town of New York City. Basking Ridge was originally settled in the 1720s and officially chartered as a part to Bernards Township in 1760. Each year in May, Basking Ridge celebrates its history on Charter Day. Nearby is Jockey Hollow (pictured above) in the Morristown National Historical Park where George Washington and his army were encamped during the winter of 1779-1780.
